avg & pegasus

After, and only after, I installed and started running avg anti virus did I
encounter some nightmarish issues with Pegasus. First, according to avg
most of my messages were "worm" ridden and secondly my Pegasus message boxes
were al fouled up.

Any ideas to remedy the situation explained in terms an absolute novice
would understand I would appreciate very much.

AVG is free and really only supports the mainstream e-mail clients for
mail scanning such as OE and Eudora.
