AVG or Avast ?

Ive been using avast for 5 years. Ive installed it on every computer I
repair...(if there is no antivirus on that computer)
I have never had a problem with avast. and....when it does automatically
update itself...well...Id rather have a slow computer for 10 seconds while it
updates than take a chance and get a virus. You 'dont' have to schedule and
update. In the settings you can set to do it automatically or not.

Along the same lines, I have just begun to use Avast. I keep getting a
Visual C ++ error and I cannot figure out how to fix it. I press "debug,"
but how do I fix it or get rid of it? I always look forward to that man's
voice in Avast, "Virus Database Has Been Updated." It happens at random
times and I know NOTHING about Visual C ++. Any guidance is much, much
appreciated. Please help.
