AVG and Eudora 6: "email scanner is not fully functional", why?

Hi,
I use AVG antivirus and Eudora 6.
Often AVG opens a window and tell me that
"email scanner is not fully functional".
I have entered into "Email scanner setting
wizard" of AVG but I see only Outlook and don't see Eudora.
Why? What have I do, please?
Thanks

Without wishing to deviate from your initial problem ,AVG 6 s email
scanner is a bit of a waste of time as it scans your inbox.dbx folder
after arrival anyway. If you really want an email scanner that scans
before arrival then upgrade to AVG7 (payware im afraid) or use avast
(free for home users). To use the "email scanner" in AVG6 i believe
avgcc32.exe must be active so check that thats enabled in startup as some
disable it and use AVG as an on demand AV.You need resident shield to be
active for that startup entry

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean.
I have AVG Pro v. 7
I see "Personal Emai scanner is not configured.
Why?
thanks

Sorry i thought you had AVG6.Have you checked your email account settings
that the outgoing and incoming (pop and smtp) are set to 127.0.0.1 and
that the relevant ports are used?,as AVG changes the default ports from
the default 110 and 25 to 5100 etc (if i recall...check setting up email
manually).I believe the wizard only auto configures OE or outlook
automatically however any mail prog can be set up manually , if you
choose that option during the wizard setup.

Please disregard that post using the 127.0.0.1 settings.I am testing
avast at the moment (previuosly used avg7) and am getting mixed up with
the settings sorry. There is a help file that shows you how to put non
OE/outlook settings in .the default ports however should read however
5100 or upwards and not 110 and 25.

Mmm only thing i can suggest is to set up the accounts manually , as it
has to be a an account/port configuration error.I know i had to set mine
up manually as i use pimmy. The pop ports began at something like port5100
instead of 110.There is a help file there or its in the email setup
somewhere to do it.
