Avast has finally been given the boot for me. I have used it since it first came out. No problem what so ever. But lately I have had a problem with Outlook 2010 getting an 0x800CCC0F error.
Tried everything M$ suggested, looked on the Avast forum. But no help at all. Deleted Avast and installed MSE and no problem. Outoolk 2010 works fine

Avast is what pirates shout when cutlass-waving and boarding a merchant ship ripe for plunder.

I'm not quite sure what the Somalian is for 'Avast' but I suspect it's probably the same.

What you were getting was false positive and I am positive it was a false alarm :D
