Is anyone aware if Trend Housecall will get rid of an infection of the
above? Trying to help a friend on the other side of the country and I don't
really want to walk her through safe mode removal if I can avoid it.

What do you mean "...get rid of an infection of the above?"

You really have supplied zero information.

OMG--you claim to be some sort of expert? No doubt Trend Housecall is
a remote sharing service--several AV vendors have them--that allow an
infected PC to be linked with a technician's machine who will guide
you, via desktop sharing software built into Windows (you might have
to run in elevated privileges as an Administrator), to solve a
problem. I've used it once (I had to turn on sharing via
Administrator in XP, but one reboot later I was able to share my
desktop with a computer technician).

OMG--some people are too funny as incompetents.
