Autoplay won't stop

We had to run a system restore on Windows XP. Now, everything seems to be
working fine except...

A small rectangular dialog box keeps popping up on the screen that says
"Autoplay" and has the searching flashlight icon. It stays up for about
three seconds, and then disappears. Sometimes it comes up every ten seconds
(like now!) and sometimes it dissapears for minutes at a time.

I've tried everything I can think of. Turned off autoplay on all drives,
removed software that might have been stranded by the system restore, scanned
for viruses. I can't make it stop.

Hi Michael,

Search your root directory for an autorun.inf. If found, delete.
