AutoPlay is not the default for my removable media

I have a little issue with AutoPlay, but it does not seem to be the same
issue everybody else is having.

When I insert a media card into my reader, nothing happens.

If I go to My Computer, and I right-click on the removable drive, the action
in bold (the default) is "open". AutoPlay is in the list, however, and if I
click on AutoPlay, the Scanner and Camera wizard appears.

So I don't think I need to "fix" my AutoPlay. I just need to change the
default action of the removable media.

Can anybody help me with this?

Just wondering...if you go to My Computer and
right click the icon for your removable drive and
from the menu ...choose Properties....do you see
an AutoPlay tab? Is, "Prompt Me Each Time To
Choose An Action" ticked?

Hi - I am having a similar issue with autoplay as everyone else and am not
sure how to fix it.

I have a digital camera (both sony and casio) - when I connect to pc via USB
- the autoplay no longer comes up as default. I usually get a window opening
showing me what is on the memory stick on the camera. I really want to get
the autoplay box up again. I have gone to the removable device in the 'my
computer' screen. And looked at properties - I can see autoplay and I have
selected for the computer to prompt when this device is connected but it
doesnt. How can I amend this. Do I need to download a fix or just change a
different setting? Thanks for your time.
