Hi all

I want to know if i can send a mail automatically while my outlook client is
close. I know i can open a new message and click on Options and select a
time to deliver the message but then my outlook needs to stay open. Is there
any way that i can send a mail to automatically deliver while my client is
close.

Example : I want to send a mail to my wife to be delivered 12o'clock
midnight but obviously by that time i will be sleeping and my laptop off.Can
this be done.

I have outlook 2003 and exchange 2003 std.

That is the right way to go indeed. Outlook can be closed at that time but
by default Cached Exchange Mode settings don't sync the Outbox folder with
Exchange. You can enable this in your Send/Receive settings for that
account.

If i do so this and look under the section "Check folders from the selected
account to include in send/receive " the folders that is ticked off is
Calendar, Contacts, Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, Tasks

THen i close this and sent a test mail which should be delivered in an hours
time and after clicking the send button, want to close outlook. Then i get
the message : There are unsent mesages in your outbox. To send mail Outlook
must remain runing and connected to your exchange server....Do you want to
send now or exit anyway"

Must i choose here "NO" which is NOT to send now and the exchange will
automatically send it the specefic time?

Thanks for your help

You are using an Exchange connection in Cached Exchange Mode, right?
