Automatically Restart on Error

I have an XP Home computer that is doing the reboot loop. It will not
boot into Safe Mode or normal boot. Last Known Good Configuration does
not work. I cannot boot to a command prompt. During the boot process, I
am getting a flash BSOD.

Once before when I had this problem, I was about to use BartPE to access
the registry of the computer to disable "Automatically Reboot" or
errors. Since I cannot get to a GUI, I cannot uncheck the box. Nor can I
find the instructions on how to make the registry tweak with BartPE. The
tweaks I found say to change AutoReboot in CrashControl to 0, but
there is no CrashControl key. I tried adding one, but it didn't make any
difference.

If I can figure out how to read the error message, I can possibly fix
the problem. Since the customer does not have the recovery CD, a fix
repair is not possible.

Help!

After the B.I.O.S POST Procedure (you normally hear a single beep if normal boot, more if
something is wrong), tap the F8 key until boot options appear. There you should find an
option to stop it from rebooting on error. Post the writing that appears on the BSOD here.

It is not one of the listed options.

I had to restore an image of the hard drive. Then everything was fine. The only
thing that changed was the installation of Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition.
It would have been great to be able to see what the error was.
