An email which is in the process of being composed will not be sent
when an automatic send/receive occurs. Only emails sitting in the
Outbox folder will be sent.

thanks garry you have helped a lot, last question as I move away from eudora

plugin to remove quotes ie these>> that occur when people forward emails...

Sorry, there are no plug-ins for Windows Mail, nor is there any likelihood
that there ever will be. Microsoft has stopped all development on Windows
Mail in favor of the successor program, Windows Live Mail.
As of yet, Windows Live Mail does not have any plug-ins either, but
at least there is a chance that will happen in the future.

is windows live mail out yet, Im relatively happy with windows mail as Eudora
only lets you select three contacts at a time unless you selected everybody
on your address book and then deleted those you didn't want to send the email
to and I have over 100 contacts and often only want to send to twenty so
Eudora with Vista was no loner viable...thanks your a good man helping an old
cogger

Gary is absolutely right about plug ins. But there is a third-party add on
that allows reformatting, it also removes attachments and allows send again.
I have used it for some time. It's not free, but if you want the features,
and want to stay with Windows Mail as I did, then Google Windows Mail
QuickTools. They do just as they say.

There is also a repair tool for Windows Mail, that solves many of the
problems like stuck mail, and the tendency of Windows Mail to accumulate 0
byte files. It is freeware. Just Google for WMutil.exe. It is tiny, and
doesn't need to install. It will only run if Windows Mail is not running.

Good luck

Thanks for that tip about Win Mail Quick Tools.
Looks like a nice utility. Strange that nobody has mentioned it here before.

I have been lurking here for over a year and never seen it. It seems strange
to me also. It is also available in a version for Outlook Express.

I do want thank you for all the great work you do here, Gary. This forum
would not be what it is without you.
