automatically download to different hard drive

I have 2 drives C: & F:
Whenever i download it always goes to the C: drive unless i specify to the
F: drive.
How can i set the default drive to download / install to the F: drive.
C is quite full and i have to keep transfering files to F

Start Regedit and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Change the value of the string Download Directory to the new path you want
to assign as IE's Default Download directory (i.e. "D:\Download" has been
assigned as my new download folder).
