Automate Public Folder creation

Hello

I don't know very much about what the possibilities are with Outlook and
VB - but was wondering if it is possible to use VB to automate to some
extent the creation and permissioning of Public Folders.

We use Public Folders very heavily and they are permissioned using
Distribution Lists (Exch 5.5 sp4). It would be great if we could develop a
script or something to generate these folder which have standard names
according to a set convention and standard sub-folders.

If anyone knows of anything which would make this process quicker and less
fiddly I would be really grateful!

Hi Tracey. This can be done, but it involves some fairly advanced
programming using CDO and the Exchange ACL COM component.
