Whatever you are doing is surely controlled by the program you
downloaded. You'll have to say more. Is a mystery what this program is
and how it works, and how it may affect your machine and hard disk.
However, why did you download yet another program and add this
complexity? Why not use the "shutdown" command provided by XP (see the
command 'shutdown -?' for how to use it, or read in "help"). You can
also then schedule this command to make it "automatic".
