Auto shadows

I've been using Powerpoint for a zillion years, but I've
had a pesky problem for the last couple of days that I
can't solve.

I'm using Powerpoint 2002.

Whenever I add an object to the slide (text, line, or
shape), I automatically get a white shadow.

Is there an autoshadow feature? I can't find it anywhere.

This is driving me crazy!

Hi Valere,

What are the settings for the autoshapes? Color fill, transparency, line,
line size/type, etc.

Is it a real shadow? Can you turn the sahdow off?

What's the background on the Slide Master?

Valerie,

Up on the top toolbar, next to "bold, italic, underling" is a little "S" symbol.

Click this to turn off the "text shadow". The text shadow is not to be confused with the "shadow" that you can apply to
any object.

Powerpoint has chosen "white" as the shadow color, because you have a black background.

If you have a dark blue, then the text shadow would be black, and you would not notice it.
