Auto-play has stopped working.

I'm not sure if it's because I now have Mozilla as my default web-browser
(it's all I can think of) but for some reason my auto-play has stopped
working. No matter what the auto-play file is on the disk I now get the menu
that asks what application it should be opened with. If it's just music or
videos I'll get an explorer window with the folders in it.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

There is a file here that you can copy to your system and run, it will reset
the autorun defaults:
ftp://rickster.myip.org/WinXP%20Autorun%20fix/

If you cannot access it, go to the Control Panel/Internet Options and on the
advanced tab disable passive ftp.

Thank you, Rick. That was very generous of you.

The tool seems to have resolved some of the problems it found and indeed one
of my disks now auto-played. It was unable to resolve problems it found with
what it calls "AutoPlay V2 event" however and I still get the pop-up asking
me what to open the files with. Ah well. I'll keep on searching.

Thanks again.
