Auto Complete will not clear

I have tried several times to clear the history in my IE6 Auto Complete.
Each time it freezes. I have to ctr/alt/del to close the program. Does
anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening?
I perform regular maintanance including disk cleanup and defrag. My virus
files are up to date. I have Windows XP on a Compaq Presario 5310 with
256MB.

I had similar problems with IE on my computer. After long hours trying to fix it IE without any solutions, I moved to netscape browser and it works like a charm. No more problems.

Ok...I went there, did what it said, and could not find an "askuser" DWORD
here:

AutoComplete, User Names and Passwords on Forms (delete the 'askuser' DWORD
to force IE to ask if you want to save passwords).

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW

to delete. it just has a bunch of symbols for name and REG_DWORD for type
and 0x00000 for data. There are about 30 of them in there but nowhere is
the word askuser.

I am sorry if I am not as informed as you are, but I am trying to learn.
Also, I did not know that the web group and my OE group were the exact same
one. I apologize for my double posting.
