Auditing question

I access the internet via a router supplied (and configured) by my wife's
company. Recently I have noticed that NNTP access is impossible on any of
six different news servers between the hours of 5 pm (approx) and 11 pm.
This may have occurred when the old router (DLink) was hit by an electrical
surge and was replaced by a Netgear, which, according to the ISP may have
some sort of "control" set. (I have scoured the manual, and can't find
anything so far). What I am wondering, is there any Audit function that
might tell me if this is the case? (The ISP assures me that their networks
are all up and running, and indeed Web browsing and Email are not affected.
I am VERY frustrated by this!)

Thanks

Do you have access to the router setup? That would be how you get to the
firewall settings.

I would contact the wife's company. Your post reads as if the equipment
is company owned and serviced.

It is. I was trying to gather some evidence before I do.
