attachment problems

I have to use the company yahoo email account but want to us windows mail all
is fine with the exception of receiving attachments from my boss. When I look
at the email on yahoo the attachment is there but when its loaded to windows
mail it's not on the email. I have turned off the do not allow attachments.
any help would be great.

my boss is using outlook but the attachment is not showing up at all on
windows mail and i can open it just fine when i go directly to the yahoo web
site. also so far his attachments are the only ones that are not showing up.

Yes, that is normal. Did you not read the articles at the 3 links I gave you?
Windows Mail does not recognize the attachment from Outlook, although
it is present, as is evident from the file size of the email, and you can see
the attachment encoding when pressing Ctrl+F3.

Mail client programs other than Outlook cannot decode an Outlook
attachment unless the Outlook sender used plain text format.

Yahoo webmail is not considered to be a mail client program. Webmail
often has special decoders to cope with Outlook attachments.

The only solution you have is to tell your boss to send attachments to you
in plain text format only, or else use Yahoo webmail.
