Attaching HTML Help file to Access

G

Guest

I've created a compiled help file and placed it in the same directory as my
Access application.
I've opened my Access applications main form in design view and in the
property box Help File indicated name of the help file. In the Help Context
Id property box I entered the number 1. When I press F1 I get a blank help
screen.

When I created the compiled help file I did not set up any context id's
because I could not find any instructions on how to do so. I search the API
Help which referred to it but did not show how.

If you didn't setup any ContextIDs then the best you can do is just show the Index or Contents page of your helpfile.
Remove the 1 and try again, or rebuild your Help file, this time using ContextIDs as needed.

How do I create ContextIDs in the Help file?

I could not find a reference in HTML Help or API Help for this. HTML Help
referred to using API Help to attach compiled help files to an application,
but the API Help referred to using context IDs but did not state how to set
them up.
