attachements not coming in

I have one person that I am unable to recieve a pdf attachment from - I can
get this attachment from others that he had sent it to - but not him.

He can send the attachment to my old computer - and I can forward it to my
new one - Vista - but I can't get it directly from him.

Why?

Which email program is that sender using? If he is using Outlook, it
has a non-compatible format known as RTF.
