I receive emails but not attachements

I sent an e-mail from my office account to my windows mail account. I did
receive the e-mail but not the attachements. Those are straightforward pdf
files. No bounce back or error message in the office and no error message on
windows mail. I tried several times with the same result.
Any idea why this happens and how I could solve this would be helpful.

Chances are, your office computer runs Outlook. It has a proprietary encoding
for attachments that can't be decoded by most other email clients.
