At last a non signature based antivirus software - that actually works.

Hi all

I had downloaded an non signature based antivirus software called
ToughGuard some time ago. I used to belive that only signature based
antivirus software can be effective and initially disbelived
ToughGuard's claim total protection from malware but yesterday I got a
new virus while working on internet ToughGuard captured all the virus
files that came in my computer and deleted those files. Even
Kernel32.dll was changed. ToughGuard replaced this file with the
healthy file.

Now I believe that I have protected my computer effectively from
viruses - even the new viruses which may be created in future.

You can download ToughGuard by clicking the link below

<snip - fake "user" report>

Geez, another really dumb SPAMMER. Srividhya has in her headers:

NNTP-Posting-Host: 61.246.102.253

A reverse DNS lookup shows the IP name is
dsl-TN-253.102.246.61.touchtelindia.net (TouchTel India).
61.246.102.253 is allocated to Bharti InfoTel, Chennai, India. Do a
lookup on the domain registration for sanrasoft.com and, gee, guess
where the registrant is from? Chennai, India.

And, of course, none of us can see that it is a completely bogus "user"
report but is instead one of their stupid marketers pretending to be a
user to spam their product. They must really be clueless that they use
spamspeak.

According to the post's description, TouchGuard lets the virus in, lets
the virus make its changes, and then tries to undo what the virus did.
Christ, like you want to let it enter in the first place and like you
want to let it do its thing at all. It doesn't provide boundary
protection like an anti-virus program. It reacts too late to provide
the protection of an intrusion protection system (IPS), like Prevx Home,
System Safety Monitor, or Abtrusion (all of which is free, by the way).
And it hopes its late Undo operation will rid you of the virus. "But,
officer, I did hit my car brakes only I applied them after I passed that
red light."

Wonder if Lexar will sue Sanrasoft for trademark infringement on
"TouchGuard" (http://www.lexar.com/jumpdrive/jd_touchguard.html). Sic
'em, Lexar!
