When I imported an MPG2 video file onto the timeline in moviemaker 2 and
pressed play, MM2 froze and I got the following dialog box with the buttons
"Yes", "No" and "Cancel":
ASSERT FAILED
*pTimeEnd >= *pTimeStart
At ling 3370 of C:\MEDIASERVICE-slow\src\BaseClasses\amfilter.cpp
Continue? (Cancel to debug)
When I clicked no I got another dialog box with the button "Ok",
moviemk.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x73f9a4c7" referenced memory at "0x02737970".
The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
I am getting similar messages in other video editing programs and the
"Memory could not be read" message randomly during normal computing use.
What does this all mean and, more importantly, how do I fix it?
