*.asc extension

Is there a way to save files in Word 2003 as "MS-Dos text with layout (*.asc)."
This option is available in previous versions of Word under the "Save as"
menu.

I would like to know the same thing. Why does Microsoft have to make it so
difficult to do what SHOULD BE A SIMPLE TASK.
