Are there limitations to peer to peer file sharing?

I have a customer who has 12 workstations in a peer to
peer enviroment, running a combination of Win XP and
Win2000. They essentially run one of the workstations a
sa "pseudo" server, sharing a common data directory for
users, although not all 12.
Simple questions as I think they should be moving towards
a server based enviroment. Is there a limit on peer to
peer file sharing. That is can they have an unlimited
ammont of users sharing a common folder on a single PC?
Thanks

Philip

Computers that run Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows 2000 Professional,
and Windows XP Professional are licensed for a maximum of 10 concurrent
client incoming sessions. Computers that run Windows XP Home Edition are
licensed for a maximum of 5 concurrent client incoming sessions. All
logical drive, logical printer, and transport level connections combined
from a single computer are one session.

Best regards

Bjorn
