Are there any test programs for ATI video cards?

I recently brought a GeXcube Radeon 9*600 XT graphics card and are
noticing short in the picture when using a flight simulator. I have
the graphics levels are set low for the flight simulator so this is
not the cause.
Soon after buying the graphics card I brought a TV card and also
noticed short pauses in the live TV picture. These pauses seem to
occur every 4 seconds. I was blaming it on my TV card but now think it
might be the Radeon 9600 XT card.
My computer uses a AMD 1900 XT processor.
256Megs of memory
Windows XP
DirectX 9

The TV card is a Leadtek WinFast DV2000

Are there any tests I can do to check out the video card?

That make no sense whatsoever.

Makes perfect sense to me, but then I am not picky about perfect grammar and
spelling/typos, and I understand not everyone here is 100% fluent in
English.

P.S. Brian, I seriously recommend upgrading to * at least * 512MB of RAM if
not more, 256MB is just not enough, especially looking at the specs for the
rest of your system. It might ever solve your stated problem, as it will
give your software more "breathing room" to run in.

That should read

That will teach me not to send messages late at night :=)

Thanks DD,
I checked with a performance monitor and it
indicated that I needed 171392K of memory during the picture pausing
problem (this was tested watching live TV using a TV card.
But I'm wondering how reliable performance monitors are.

I would guess low frame rates? The crux is a little hard to pinpoint. I
don't think Jon intended to be rude, just blunt.

If using Win2K or XP, pull up task manager and go to performance - check the
peak commit charge after "normal" use i.e., gaming :p This is gonna pretty
close to the total amount of RAM you're gonna want.
