Are there any fonts that have consistent character spacing?

I'm wondering if there are any fonts, or functionality within Word, that will
allow me to consistently type, say, 132 characters per line no matter what
characters they are. (ie an O and an l take up the same spacing). This is
important to me because I'd like a text editor to help me design AS400
reports that will print on 132/198 character per line dot matrix printers. If
anybody knows any fonts, functions, or 3rd party apps that can help me with
this I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Choose a monospaced font. Courier New is a monospaced font that comes
with Windows. You can find lots of others, some free, on the web.
