Applying rules to multiple computers

I run three computers in my home in a workgroup. All three computers are
running Outlook 2007 sharing a .pst on my primary computer. In the past I
have created rules for incoming e-mails on each computer individually.
Recently I have attempted to create a single rule that would work regardless
of which computer I open Outlook on. I have turned off the "this computer
only option" and the rules work...until I close Outlook and come back into
it. It then says there is an error with each rule as they apply themselves to
incoming e-mail. If I then go back into rules and turn back on they work fine
again until I get out of Outlook and go back into it. This occurs even if the
computer I am re-entering Outlook on is the same computer!!!

What am I doing wrong here? Can I not apply a global rule that will affect
Outlook universally? I have no issues sharing the .pst itself, why should I
have problems sharing the rules that affect the .pst?

Rules are looking for folders at specific paths in a profile with a specific
name and GUID. This machine only is targeted to Exchange server, not shared
pst usage (which is not supported at all.)
