When closing Internet Explorer 6 on a Windows XP machine, an application error pops up & says (The instruction at "0x003b2ce8" referenced at 0x00b98c74". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.

Hi,
This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:

More security tips at http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

Hope this helps,
Don
