Any Recommendations For A "Uninstaller" And A Registry "Cleaner" Please

Hello:

New XP user:

Is there any consensus on which is the "best" (hopefully free or
inexpensive):

a. Uninstaller ?

The XP Control Panel add/remove does not do anything when I try to
uninstall AOL garbage that came pre-installed on my
new Dell PC. Would like to get rid of it all.

b. Registrey "cleaner" ?

I've been told that this is a good thing to do, occasionally.
A real safe one for someone who knows nothing about registry
manipulations, etc.

(guess a good feature for it to have is a revert function to go back
before any "cleaning" or other registry
items were changed or removed)

Thanks,
Bob
