AntiSpyware - Why doesnt it use the security centre?

Hi all

Joined in this beta a few days ago and I have to say that MS AntiSpyware
looks very pomising so far but why isnt MS integrating this applicaion into
the securty centre control panel (Windows XP SP2) where it so clearly
belongs. After all MS seems to have got all the major antivirus and firewall
vendors to play ball with the Security Centre so why not its own new
(anti)Spyware product?

There seems to be no good reason why the AutoUpdate feature shouldnt be
linked to the Automatic Updates CP iether, not to mention the perfectly
good scheduled tasks CP which is also ignored!

Peter;
My guess is the Security Center currently monitors the 3 items Microsoft
currently feels essential.
Perhaps in time the Security Center will monitor for spyware protection.
But don't expect the Security Center to monitor Beta products including
AntiSpyware.
The wisdom of that would be questionable at best.

My guess is that it will wind up there - someday. The
security center is in need of something new that can
provide a reason to go there.

As for updating via the Windows Updater, not a bad idea,
but there is already a scheduler in the tool. You'd also
have to have folks use Windows Updater regularly, not
everyone does that...

I agree with jupiter jones, i don't think Microssoft need
anymore money, but to make a system perform the way its
supposed to would be nice, SP2 is good if you have no
problems after install, i know so many people that have
had really seriuos problems, Windows has so many flaws
its untrue, just look at how many security updates there
are. Its good job they dont charge for them. lol. One
thing that does suprise me is that after running the
Microsoft antispyware, i run Adaware SE and that finds
spyware that MS didn't, and then i run Pestpatrol and
that finds things that both the above didn't, and then i
run spybot and that finds things none af them did, but to
be honest it works the other way round as well, they all
find things that the other didn't except for MS
antispyware, most the time it says all is ok, even when
its not, Spybot seems to be the best allround program and
its free, o well just my view, Bill Gates if your at
home feeling smug, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. lol
this is how it should be, greed aside £99 should give us
the consumer Windows XP Pro inc Virus Protection and
Antispyware protection and Office XP full. i'm trying to
find out how many pc's there are in the world the best
guess i can find is Half a billion 500,000,000 so times
that by £99 gives us £49 500 000 000 uk pounds is that
not a lot of maney, and the funny thing is most people
would pay £99 for that package they pay a small fortune
for the PC, instead of the millions of people that use
cracked copies of windows, office etc etc... the numbers
ever growing people on the net is growing pc's out sell
tv's now, if any Xbox running a windows 2000 based
operating system costs £99 the WHY O WHY is Windows XP
and all other microsoft products so expensive, PC's are
just as bad (Intel)(AMD) someone somewhere is having a
laff, hey Bill, lol They should call him Dollar, lol
C ya all soon you can only imagine how big this is all
getting, o my xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

vc++

because the program is made with visual basic.
So when will be released a VC++ version it can be included
in security center.
