Anti Virus Software For Win 2000 Server

Derek Timothy

Hi folks,

I just paid £50 for Norton Anti Virus 2004 for my Win 2000 server, only to
find it says that "This product is for workstation installations only"

Cannot get Symantec to refund or to tell me what product I should have
bought for Win 2000 server. Has any-one else put anti virus on their Win
2000 server? If so what one was it?

Many thanks.

The Symantec AV package for servers is Symantec Antivirus Corporate
Edition (SAVCE). It's a completely different product and engine from
the consumer NAV product. I'm surprised that you can't get a refund for
NAV, but you should be able to resell it to someone who can use it.
