Anti-spyware not finding files

Andrew

Microsoft AntiSpyware is not showing certain adware that
is found by Norton Antivirus. The problem is that Norton
cannot seem to delete the files. Hopefully if AntiSpyware
could find them, it could delete or quarantine them. The
problem files are Dc799.exe, Dc803.exe, TBPS.exe and
TBPSS.exe.

Any help?

Hi

- Send a spyware report to MS about this, menu tools

- Perhaps it`s possible to remove this in safe mode. But
I dont think so.

I agree with JohnF--although there are grey areas, Microsoft Antispyware
isn't an antivirus.

If you can say what virus name these files are associated with, we could
probably find you more concrete recommendations. The first line of research
would be to take the name that Norton gives you for the virus, and do a
Google search on virusname symantec removal

That should get you Symantec's description of the virus, which normally has
manual removal instructions, and, in some cases, a pointer to an automated
removal tool--necessary in some more difficult cases. Since you have
Norton--that would be the first course of action I'd recommend--research it
through their web site.
