anti spyware doesn't start

Hi,

Every time I try to start microsoft anti spyware it says:

This version of Microsoft AntiySpyware has expired as of
31.12.2005 a...

I use a bulgarian locale and that's why the date is in
format dd.mm.yyyy. The "a" symbol after the date should be
the bulgarian equivalent for leter "g" but it seems that
Microsoft AntiSpyware cannot loclize it properly.

The dialog opened also urges me to contact microsoft nad
download the latest version, however this is exactly the
latest version, even more my computer date is set to 17.
aug.2005, which is quite earlier than 31.dec.2005

Thanks
Hristo

Hi,

The current Beta 1 release does not support (or has problems with) localized
settings, so to get it working follow this suggestions:

"You have the display format for dates set to other than the defaults.

Go to control panel, Date, Time, Language, and Regional options

Choose Regional and Language options, and click on the Customize button on
the displayed page.

Click on the date tab. Find the short date format and long date format
dropdown controls, and reset each one to the topmost choice."

Hristo - see whether Mikolaj's instructions allow the beta product to work
for you.

Beta1 is not designed for localization and is clearly labelled as English
only.

That said, it has been widely successfully installed, so I hope that a
change in date format will allow this in your case.
