Annoying issues with ADP and off-line server

First, if I try to open and ADP file and the server is off-line or in my
case at a different location it takes a good 25 minutes for Access to
time-out and let me select a different server.

Is there a was to shorten the time-out? Is it using the Connection timeout
setting on the Advanced tab?

Also trying to open a disconnected ADP file using a shortcut causes Access
to choke with a "File xxx.adp or one of it's components cannot be
found"...and afterwords Access is dead.

It was the Connection Timeout value.
