animation bullets

I'm working in PowerPoint 2007. I've created a list of items within a text
box, then applied .gif bullets from the Bullets and Numbering drop down. The
bullets don't animate in the slideshow. Can anyone help?

Diane,

Animated gifs won't work as Picture bullets.

If you must have animated bullets, insert the gif as a picture. Remove
bullet points from your text box, and position the gif (and copies) next to
your list items.

Hi Julie:

The bullets are the .gif. These are a preset within PowerPoint 2007. So if
I type a list in a text box, highlight that list, go to Bullets and
Numbering, and select a bullet type that is a .gif, the animation doesn't
work. Considering this is a PPT 2007 preset bullet, I would assume it should
work?

The bullets appear as static pictures. Animation is not supported in Picture
Bullets.

This is because animated bullets can be distracting.
