Animated gifs

They work in IE6 offline (i.e. gifs on my hard drive), but those same gifs
pointed at online do not animate. They only show one frame.

I installed Mozilla Firebird to test it out a couple of weeks ago, and the
same links in there animate fine.

Any ideas?
