animated gif - progress on click?

I

Igor

I'm using FP 2000 and Win98SE

Is there a way to set up an animated gif on a page so that when a button is
clicked the gif moves ahead one frame for each click? Also, is there a way
to have the gif restart on click? (Other than looping it or refreshing the
page.) If so, suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

You cannot reference an animated GIF's individual frames,
so you cannot determine by button click, etc., to advance
to the next frame. You can do this with Flash animation,
but not GIFs.

I think you would have to use Macromedia Flash for this
kind of thing.
