Animated gif loads as bitmap

Can Zone Alarm 4 Pro be the reason the animated gif does not animate? If so,
does anyone know the setting to correct this problem?

Whenever I open my site the animated gif file does not run. It is shown as
a bitmap file instead. When I try this on my laptop which does not have ZA
Pro 4 installed, the animated gif works fine. I have tried the internet
options suggestions and the advanced/multimedia suggestion too, and still the
animated file does not work. The only differences between my laptop and my
home pc is that I have Zone Alarm Pro 4 installed on the home pc and not on
the laptop. The laptop has Windows XP for home and the Home pc has Windows
XP Pro.

1. Empty the Temporary Internet files and set it to 50 MB.

2. See Animated GIFs don't work:

Hi Ron :)

Try the following and see if it helps

Yes, Zone Alarm can block Images in IE. It has a setting that blocks ads

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low

2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low

3. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Jan :)
