Frankly, unless you are familiar with manipulating files using
Windows Explorer, I would recommend 'benign neglect' for stuck
messages, except for those stuck in the Outbox. Microsoft will release
an improved email program, Windows Live Mail, later this month.
If you still want to proceed with that method you quoted, you will
need to make hidden files and folders visible. You can do so
under Folder Options.
However, there is a less complicated way to achieve the same
thing, which doesn't require knowing about hidden folders.
The Mike Burgess way:
Close Windows Mail
Click Start > Search > Advanced Search
Location = Everywhere
Place a check in "Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files"
Name = (type) WindowsMail.MSMessageStore
When completed, you should only see 2 instances of that file
Highlight, right-click and select: Delete
Ok any prompts, close Search and restart WinMail.
