An unhandled exception

Please help!

My automatic updater downloaded updates and when I turned my computer on it
tried to install them. It says it's configuring Photo Gallery and then an
error message pops up with the heading "Microsoft .NET Framework". At some
point during this a dialog box pops up looking for me to insert a CD for
something.

The error message reads "An unhandled exception has occurred in a component
in your application." It won't let me close the error message. And, it
won't let me shut down the computer. Right now I'm having to turn it off
using the power button.

How do I get rid of this?????????

It sounds like the automatic updates are not from Windows but from HP. Photo
Gallery is part of your HP printer software. Put in the HP printer
installation CD. If that doesn't fix it, contact HP tech support.
