Tried all the OE5/6 fixes i.e. missing backslash and/or missing csapi3t1.dll.
Correct (tools, options, spelling) language and boxes all ticked etc.
Any suggestions or anbody else seen this error on Windows Mail?

Go to MSConfig and under General Tab click on the Expand file and under file to restore type in chapi3tl.dll. Point Restore from to your i386 file or you install CD and save file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof ,

chapi3t1.dll, csapi3t1.dll & ctapi3t2.dll did list in the Proof folder.
However, I'd already restored them in case it curred the problem......it
didn't! Thanks anyway Peter.

Has anyone found the solution to this error yet? I just got it and don't know
how to fix it.

I just got the same message, so the spell check in Windows Mail is no longer
working. My 3rd part e-mail backup program will no longer work either. This
happened after some automatic updates.

Yes , I got the same message (after a few operational days ) on 4 new HP PCs
and all contacts (about 25) with HP E-mail support have resultede in
complete failure. They have not got a clue as to where the problem lies !

Quite a few people are having problems with the last Windows
Update (KB931768). You may want to uninstall it.

Still can't find a fix for this. I installed Windows Live Mail Public Beta
and its spell check worked fine. Windows Mail error remains however. So if
others have this problem, then as a sort of fix try the Public Beta!

Still not found a fix for this yet! However, I did install Windows Live Mail
Public Beta. The error does not occur with WLM beta so if anyone else is
experiencing the same error I suppose you could consider this route an
option. I've since reverted back to WM. Apologies if this turns out to be a
double post!

Gary... I have messages stuck in my Outbox... ;-)
And the "clear outbox" button is grayed out... ;-) ;-)
Where do I get my ISP details from? ;-) ;-) ;-)

The Clear Outbox button is grayed out because WinMail is still running as an
application or a process. Read the instructions again.

Hi - did anyone ever find an actual fix to this issue?

I am using OpenOffice and was wondering if there was something between
OpenOffice and Windows Mail that is not jiving just right. (Just a thought)

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks, Gary ... but regretfully, this does not work for my machine. Any
further suggestions?
