an automatic update that keeps repeating

I've been getting a message that an automatic update for
KB835732 needs to be installed. I install it & the next
day I get the same message. This has happened every day
for the past week. How do I resolve this situation?
Thanks for any help.

I asked the same question earlier today. Then saw I'm not
alone. Look around page 6 or 7 by now and see more on
this. I think it isn't always the same patch. It looks
like Microsoft has updated the patch at least twice.

Frank,

I had the same problem with the same update just
recently. If I can remember correctly, I was first told
to install the Windows XP Service Pack (SP1a), which I
think incorporates this particular update. I was unable
to do so due to a corrupted file, and was instructed to
go to the command prompt and rename the "catroot2"
directory as "catroot3" then make a new catroot2
directory. I think the location is as follows:
C:\windows\system32\catroot2

(If you run into problems, you can reverse the process.
It will be helpful if you know your DOS commands or can
acquire an old DOS handbook.)

I was then able to successfully download and install
SP1a, and have not received that update message since.

Good Luck

If you have removed Net Meeting, the update will still show itself as not being
installed, despite its successful installation.
