All Programs Menu

My All programs menu now has 3 columns - the third column goes off the
screen - the icons are visible but not their description - is there any way
that I can reduce the size of the columns (icons are on the small setting -
or if it is possible to get the last column to show items to the left when I
put my cursor on them (like when it expands the menu). My screen resolution
is 800 x 600 (I prefer this as it is easier for me to view) Thanks for any
ideas.

What you need to do is rework the All Programs menu.

Right-click on the Start button, click on Explore All Users (I'm
assuming that you are on a stand-alone, single-user machine), expand
Programs.

This will show you the start menu.

Now, make some decisions. For example, you might want to group all of
your graphics programs in one folder. So, create a new folder, called,
"Gee, Why Did I Not Put All of These Graphics Programs In This Folder
Earlier" (or some shorter version thereof...).

Now, move the various graphics program entries on the start menu into
your new folder. Take a look now at All Programs: Notice the change?

Wish I had asked the question ages ago now. I am not a lone user and do not
generally log on as administrator - so once I figured that out I was able to
do as you said. Many thanks for your help.
