omar

I set up windows mail and somehow all my mail in aol went into windows mail.
I can't send the mail back to aol. I am not sure what is going on and would
really appreciate any help. I can send some old messages back to aol but not
all 500 of my latest messages

Did you set up that AOL account as a POP account or an IMAP account?
A POP account will download messages from the server, and after the
download is completed, it tells the server to delete its copy of those messages.

Set up another AOL account in Windows Mail, but this time make it an IMAP
account, using these instructions:
http://www.postmaster.aol.com/imap/express.html

Next, select (highlight) all the messages in the regular (POP) inbox,
right-click, select Move to Folder, then select the IMAP account Inbox as
the destination..
It may take time, but eventually IMAP will synchronize its local Inbox
with the Inbox on the AOL server.

How do I do this for comcast? I just went in a deleted the account and made
a new one with IMAP? Will this keep my email in my comcast account? Thank
you.

No, Comcast does not offer IMAP email accounts.

Thanks for your help Gary and you were right. I noticed the emails going
into AOL then going out and then back in again. So it will take time.
Thanks again.
