aligning a text box to it's bound label

E

Eric

I can't line up text boxes and their bound labels either with align top or
align bottom, at least with the format scheme I'm using. Is there an align
center that's hidden somewhere? Something else I'm missing?

I can't believe this wouldn't drive most anyone nuts.

TIA,
Eric

Are you saying you want the label and the textbox to have the same "Top"
setting? Just click on the label, then hold Shift down and click on the
textbox, then use Format | Align | Top.

I take your question to mean that when you use align top or bottom the labels
and text boxes aren't really aligned properly in form view. Unfortunately
there is no align center like there is in Word. You could try making the
text boxes and labels the same size, then adjusting the margins of one or the
other until they look right. Once that is done you can use the format
painter to copy the formatting to other controls. Or, once a control is the
right size you could use that control to set the size of other controls
(Format > Size). It could be a simpler process than it is, but there are
ways to make it work.
