alerts scroll

any alerts I get scroll up or down the screen, and I
cannot slow or stop them so that I can accept, block, or
whatever I need to do to respond to the alerts
I'm using an AMD-XP 2800 chip, 512 ram, and WinXP SP1
if anyone has seen this problem or knows how to stop the
alerts from scrolling across the screen, please let me know

i am having the same problem on a P4 3.0GHz w/ Nvidia
Quadro 500 dual monitor, win xp sp2, all updates. i have
tried different video drivers to no avail. it would be
nice if the alerts could be accessed someplace else.
