After SP2 Upgrade cannot erase CD-RW

I use several packages to burn CD's, including the latest
version of Nero Ultra 6. After I upgraded my Windows XP
from SP1 to SP2 everything still works fine, except that
now I cannot erase CD-RW (in either Quick or Full modes) -
my machines (I run Toshiba Satellites) just "sit and
spin" - completely lock up, requiring a reboot. Nero is
pointing the finger at SP2 - does anyone have a clue on
this? Thanks, I hope!

When you say you have the latest version of Nero, does that mean you
went to Nero's site and got the patches for SP2 for all the components
of the Ultra Edition, including InCD (the program part that handles the
packet writing)?

Not clear if you are in fact using Nero or the InCD that comes with it.
In either case Nero have found they have a problem with SP2 and have
produced a very recent upgrade (6.3.1.25 of Sept 20) to cure the
problem
