After Folder Property Edit Message class reverts to IPM.CONTACT

I've got From published to the Organizational Library that works jus
fine unless an edit is made to a folder property; at that point th
message class reverts to the IPM.CONTACT on that item.

I have the default form for the folder specified as the custom form
which the item (now a CONTACT instead of CONTACT.FOO) will open in
however the item does not run.

I attempted to check the message class for the item on both the CLOS
and SAVE events checking to see if the type is ..FOO and if not settin
it. That doesn't work.

I understand what is happening and found it documented at MS, but I'
looking for a work around. I know how to pragmatically set all of th
user items back to the correct message class, but my users need th
ability to dynamically modify folder properties (as well a
add/subtract them) so incorporating them into the form isn't a viabl
option.

I've considered just replacing the default CONTACT with my custom one
however would prefer another solution.
