Advice re Partition Magic

I have Partition Magic vs 7.01, and want to do the following:

Current setup: An 80 gig drive partitioned C:E: (20/30/30), and all
are formatted Fat32. Operating system XP Pro.

This may seem unneccessary to ask, since this is a function of PM, but
sometimes better to ask than not. I am running out of room on drive
C:, and I'd like the drive to be re-partitioned in half (C: 40/40).
There is currently nothing on the middle partition D:.

If I use PM 7.01 to move the partition boundry, is there any risk to
the data on C: (however slight)?

I have a 30 gig drive I could put in to back C: up on, or is that even
necessary?

Your data - is it important to you - do you have it backed up?
What's the worst thing that could happen?
Do you want to say to yourself 'I should have backed up'.
There is always a risk to data. Your drive could physically fail, your
house might burn down....
